Travel Bug...

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
So my baby brother is leaving today, he's going to live in Denmark for seven months. To say I'll miss him is an understatement. We haven't always seen eye to eye, most of the time I think he loathes me, but deep down I know he loves me ♥ Here's hoping he has the time of his life.

If there are any Danish readers out there, do you have any advice you'd like to give to my little brother? Best nightlife in Copenhagen? Eateries?

edit: Just spoke to my brother, who is currently waiting to board his flight. He has agreed to act as my "European correspondent" for the next seven months. Look forward to some gorgeous snaps of cobbled Copenhagen streets and European fashion. So excited for him!

  3. I used to have the same relationship with my little bro but ever since we live in different parts of the world now strangely we became more closer than before..I guess it was the distance that brought us together :)

  10. I was kind of devastated this morning, but he called me we chatted for over an hour while he waited for his plane to board. Thank goodness I didn't cry, he would have hung up on me :)

  24. Hey Lola,
    I was born in raised in Copenhagen, so being a native, of course I love my city;
    It wasn't a trendy big city, when I grew up, but it sure is now! We have a couple of nice parks (Fælledparken for instance) and The Lakes, which is basically 5 square lakes in a straight line kind of dividing the city. And he should definitely spend time in Østerbro, Nørrebro and Vesterbro - Østerbro (east bridge) is what we call Caffe Latte Land, lots of mums with prams and lattes to go and liberty print. Nørrebro and Vesterbro are where the young and artsy people live (in particular Vesterbro (west bridge)), but Nørrebro (North bridge) is much more multi ethnic and kind of everything goes - he'll find fabulous food whereever he goes, but try aok.dk for specifics,
    Lone
